Professor Becker-Weinberg provides legal advice on the law of the sea, maritime law and public international law to both public and private entities, including on matters concerning the delimitation of maritime boundaries, dispute resolution, provisional arrangements, marine natural resources, underwater cultural heritage, maritime security, human rights at sea, marine spatial planning, submarine cables and pipelines, offshore activities, classification and management of marine protected areas, conservation and sustainable use of marine biodiversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction, environmental law, energy law, and EU law. He is currently visiting associate professor and co-coordinator of the LL.M program on “The Law of the Sea and the Sea-Economy” at the Faculty of Law of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.
